Adam Sandler and His Wife, Jackie: A Complete Relationship Timeline

Jackie and Adam Sandler are a pretty low-key couple for a pair of actors who have appeared in at least 20 movies together since falling in love on the set of Big Daddy.

Of course, acting together is kind of their thing. After all, the couple reportedly met while filming the 1999 comedy, in which Adam’s character, Sonny, adopts a five-year-old boy (portrayed by the Sprouse twins) to impress a girl. Thankfully the actor did not have to go to such great lengths to impress Jackie (née Titone), who had a small role as a sports bar waitress.

It was “love at first sight” according to both halves of the couple, who wed in 2003 and have since welcomed two daughters, Sadie and Sunny, both of whom have followed in their parents’ Hollywood footsteps.

“Nobody wants to hear about Adam Sandler’s secret to marriage, but I guess here’s the secret: Jackie and I like spending time with each other,” Sandler said in an AARP cover interview back in 2022. “We try to make each other laugh, try to listen, try to include each other, try to support each other. We try our best—that’s all. And we don’t ever think of not being together. We always talk about our future together.”

July 25, 2025: Happy Gilmore 2 director Kyle Newacheck praises Sandler’s most recent collaboration with his daughters, who starred in the sequel alongside their dad.

“It is so cool to see them all be creative and to work and gel to tell the story,” he tells People. “They’re all very good at acting, they’re very good at portraying these characters — and it’s really cool because his daughters are still young.”

He continues, “It just makes me excited to see what they’re going to come up with in the next 10 years, if they’re going to follow their father’s footsteps and be committed to this family business. They’re all very talented and it’s awesome watching them work.”

August 25, 2023: The entire Sandler family stars in the Netflix movie You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah. While Adam plays the father of teenage sisters Stacy and Ronnie Friedman (played by Sunny and Sadie), Jackie appears in the movie as Stacy’s best friend’s mom, Gabi.

June 22, 2023: Adam marks their 20th wedding anniversary by posting a photo from their big day on Instagram. “Happy 20th my sweet Jackie! Your ‘I do’ was the best gift of my life,” he writes. “My heart has been yours since the first second I saw you and I love and appreciate your devoted soul more and more each day. Us. The kids. Lets keep going and going babe. Lots of love to give you. Always.”

March 19, 2023: Jackie talks about “the real Adam” in a tribute speech to her husband, who was receiving the Kennedy Center’s 24th Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. In her speech she reportedly described their romance as “love at first sight.”

November 2, 2008: Sunny Sandler enters the world, completing the family of four. On his website, Adam calls Sunny “beautiful” and confirms “everyone is happy and healthy.”

June 5, 2008: Adam reveals how Jackie (and Sadie) told him she was pregnant with their second baby. “I came home at night and [Jackie] kept saying ‘Sadie wants to give you a present,’ and normally Sadie falls asleep around eight,” Sandler said during an appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly, per People. “It was like quarter of 9 and I just got back from working. And I said ‘I’ll be in, in a minute.’ And she’s like, ‘But Sadie wants to give….’ ‘Alright, alright,’ and I didn’t know what was going on.”
