A new season begins

We’ve got a date for one of the biggest Xbox launches on the calendar! EA Sports FC 26 will officially release for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S this September, and you can watch the reveal trailer up above.
EA is putting a big focus on prioritising player feedback this year, advertising gameplay features such as improved dribbling, smarter AI positioning, upgraded goalkeepers and the ability to choose between “Competitive” gameplay (in the likes of Ultimate Team and Clubs) and “Authentic” gameplay (in the likes of Manager Career).
“FC 26 introduces two new gameplay presets, each built for a different way to play. Competitive is tuned for head-to-head action in Ultimate Team and Clubs, with faster passing, smarter keeper rebounds, and more direct control, while Authentic brings a true-to-football feel to modes like Career, featuring more positionally-responsible defenders, realistic corner success rates, lifelike goalmouth scrambles, and more.”
Meanwhile, Ultimate Team is adding new Tournaments and Live Events, Manager Career is adding new Manager Live Challenges, and Clubs is introducing more variety in general – including with new dynamic Live Events.
The official release date for EA Sports FC 26 is September 26th, 2025, although this is just for the standard edition of the game. Those who purchase the Ultimate Edition will get early access beginning on September 19th, and a 10-hour Xbox Game Pass Ultimate trial will be available (via EA Play) on September 19th as well.
You can pre-order EA Sports FC 26 right now on the Xbox Store, and we’ll throw more details below.
