SportsThe Xiaomi YU7 Is Being Sold Again For A Significant Profit

While reselling sought-after cars immediately after delivery is nothing new, it’s usually limited to editions or sports models. However, the latest example breaks that rule—Xiaomi’s YU7 SUV, an electric car aimed at the mass market that has nevertheless become the subject of quick profit due to incredible demand.

Just an hour after opening the order books, Xiaomi received 289,000 orders for the YU7. Shortly after, the first units appeared on the used car market. Currently, around 80 YU7 models are listed for resale in China, some of them carrying significantly higher prices than the factory ones.

According to reports from CarNewsChina, prices for almost new YU7 models range from approximately 350,000 to 390,000 yuan, which is about 48,300 to 53,800 US dollars. While even at these prices, Xiaomi’s electric SUV seems like a good deal, it should be remembered that prices for the new YU7 start at 279,900 yuan ($38,600) and go up to 329,900 yuan ($45,600) for the most equipped version.
